Ashton & Matt’s Hines Hill Wedding

Nestled in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley, Ashton and Matt celebrated their wedding day surrounded by nature, their closest family and friends, and so many heartfelt moments. Their June wedding at Hines Hill Conference Center in Peninsula, Ohio was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and genuine emotion, exactly the kind of day that reminds us why we love documenting love stories.

Our associate photographer, Casey, had the honor of capturing every meaningful moment, beginning with the finishing touches of the morning. Soft blush pink, white, and light green details set the tone for a romantic celebration, while Ashton slipped into her gown from Liliana Bridal House.

One of the most emotional moments of the day came during Ashton’s first look with her dad. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight as he saw his daughter dressed for the biggest day of her life. Soon after, Ashton and Matt shared a private first look, giving them a chance to slow down, exchange a few quiet words, and soak in the excitement before the ceremony. These intimate moments also gave them plenty of time for romantic portraits and bridal party photos before guests arrived.

As friends and family gathered beneath the trees at Hines Hill, Ashton and Matt exchanged traditional vows during a beautiful outdoor ceremony surrounded by the peaceful scenery of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The natural setting created an unforgettable backdrop for a ceremony filled with joy, laughter, and happy tears.

Following family portraits, the newlyweds spent cocktail hour mingling with their guests, embracing the candid, documentary-style moments that mattered most to them. From hugs and conversations to spontaneous laughter, these unscripted memories perfectly reflected the heart of their celebration.

The reception was filled with heartfelt speeches, unforgettable first dances, delicious dinner catered by A Taste of Excellence, and a beautiful cake from Wild Flour Bakery. As the evening continued, everyone packed the dance floor before Ashton and Matt stepped away one last time for golden hour portraits.

The warm June sunset filtering through the trees provided the perfect ending to an incredible wedding day, creating some of the most romantic portraits of the newlyweds.
