Baylee & Josh’s Summer Wedding McConnelsville & Stockport, Ohio
Baylee and Josh’s wedding day was the kind that feels deeply rooted in family, history, and intention. From the places they chose to the people who made it happen, every part of their day told a story far bigger than just the wedding itself.
A Love Story That Started Close to Home
The two first met at Morgan High School, growing up in the same area before their relationship turned into something more. Years later, Josh planned a proposal that took them far from home surprising Baylee at her favorite beach in Opal, Florida near Pensacola.
From small-town beginnings to a beachside proposal, their story came full circle in the most meaningful way on their wedding day.
Getting Ready at Home
The day began at Baylee’s parents’ home, just minutes from the church but what made it even more special was where's she got ready.
Baylee spent the morning in her childhood bedroom, surrounded by the space where so many of her memories began. It brought a quiet, full-circle feeling to the start of the day one of those details that can’t be recreated, and one that made everything feel even more personal.
With soft baby blue and white details woven throughout, the overall look felt classic, clean, and timeless. She shared slow, meaningful moments getting ready with her closest people before stepping into one of the most anticipated parts of the day. A First Look Before “I Do”
Before the ceremony, Baylee and Josh chose to do a first look giving them a private moment together before everything began. It created space to slow down, connect, and take in the day before it unfolded.
From there, we moved into portraits before heading to the church, keeping the timeline smooth and intentional.
A Ceremony Made Even More Meaningful
Their ceremony took place at Soloman Lutheran Church in McConnelsville but, what made it even more special is the story behind it. Baylee’s family purchased and remodeled the church, creating a space that now holds even deeper meaning for their family.
It wasn’t just a ceremony location it was something they had personally poured into.
With guests gathered, the ceremony felt both grand and deeply personal. Traditional elements like the unity ceremony added to the significance of the moment, honoring both their faith and their families.
A Reception Built by Family
After the ceremony, guests made their way to Davis Family Farms in Stockport, Ohio where another incredible piece of their story came to life.
Josh’s family cleared out and transformed their barn to host the reception, creating a space that was entirely their own. It’s not often you see a wedding where both sides of the family have physically shaped the locations and it made the entire day feel even more intentional.
As guests arrived for cocktail hour, the celebration quickly shifted into a full evening of connection, laughter, and tradition.
A Celebration Full of Energy
With a large guest count and a full wedding party, the reception carried so much energy from the start. From their grand entrance to dances, toasts, live music, and a packed dance floor, the night felt like a true celebration of not just their marriage, but the community surrounding them.
Even with a full timeline, the day never felt rushed allowing Baylee and Josh to stay present in each moment.
A Day Rooted in Family
What made this wedding stand out wasn’t just how it looked it was what it represented.
A church restored by family.
A barn transformed for celebration.
A love story that started in the same hometown.
Baylee and Josh’s wedding was a reflection of where they came from, the people who supported them, and the life they’re building together.
