Their day celebrated not one, but three meaningful ceremonies a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, a joyful Korean Paebaek ceremony, and a heartfelt American wedding ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Every part of the day honored generations of tradition while celebrating the beginning of their own story together.

Beginning the Day with a Traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony

The morning began at Jennifer's family home in Independence, Ohio, where the couple gathered with their closest family members for a beautiful Chinese tea ceremony.

This intimate tradition symbolizes gratitude, respect, and the joining of two families. As David and Jennifer served tea to their parents and elders, they received heartfelt blessings and well wishes for their marriage.

One of Jennifer's biggest requests throughout the day was making sure her mom was included in as many moments as possible, and it was incredibly touching to witness the love they share. Those quiet moments together became some of our favorite photographs from the entire wedding.

Celebrating Korean Traditions with the Paebaek Ceremony

Following a wardrobe change, family and friends gathered outdoors for a vibrant Korean Paebaek ceremony.

Filled with laughter, tradition, and symbolism, this celebration brought so much joy to the day. From the famous chestnut and date toss, symbolizing wishes for a prosperous future, to playful piggyback rides, every tradition was met with smiles and cheering from family members.

These moments are some of our favorite to photograph because they blend genuine emotion with generations of cultural heritage.

Romantic Portraits at Brecksville Reservation

Before the American ceremony, we traveled to Brecksville Reservation for David and Jennifer's first look and private vows.

Nestled among towering trees and scenic landscapes, the reservation provided the perfect backdrop for timeless portraits.

Away from the excitement of the wedding day, the couple shared quiet moments together before exchanging vows privately. These are often some of the most emotional moments we witness as wedding photographers and videographers.

Their portraits were filled with gentle embraces, quiet smiles, and so much excitement for everything that still awaited them.

A Beautiful Outdoor American Wedding Ceremony

Returning home, family and friends gathered for David and Jennifer's American ceremony beneath a beautifully decorated outdoor ceremony space.

Surrounded by loved ones, they officially became husband and wife before celebrating with family portraits beneath the floral arch.

The combination of three unique ceremonies made their wedding day feel incredibly personal and intentional, honoring both families while creating new traditions together.

Reception Celebration at Bo Loong

The celebration continued at Bo Loong Chinese Restaurant in Cleveland.

Guests enjoyed an evening filled with incredible food, heartfelt speeches, meaningful dances, and plenty of laughter.

From emotional toasts to energetic dancing, every part of the reception reflected the incredible love and support surrounding David and Jennifer.

Watching everyone celebrate together after such a meaningful day was the perfect ending to an unforgettable wedding.
