Romantic Schiller Park Engagement Photos in German Village

Caitlyn and Cody’s engagement session in German Village was the perfect mix of romantic and fun. We started their session at Schiller Park, one of the most beautiful spots in Columbus for engagement photos, especially as the sun begins to set over the historic brick streets and old homes that make this neighborhood so iconic.

Spring light filtered through the trees as we wandered through the park and surrounding streets, creating the most beautiful golden glow for their portraits. The soft light paired perfectly with the classic architecture and charming pathways that make German Village such a favorite location for engagement sessions.

One of the things that makes German Village engagement sessions so special is the variety of backdrops within just a few blocks. Between the brick sidewalks, historic homes, and tree-lined streets, every corner feels romantic and timeless.

As the sun dropped lower in the sky, we captured some of my favorite moments of the evening along the quiet streets near Schiller Park. The warm sunset light reflecting off the brick created such a dreamy atmosphere for Caitlyn and Cody’s portraits.

Celebrating at Local Cantina

To end the session, we stopped at Local Cantina, one of their favorite spots in the neighborhood. Engagement sessions that include a meaningful location always feel extra personal, and this was such a fun way to wrap up the evening.

They shared drinks, laughed together, and soaked in the excitement of being engaged while the lights of German Village came alive around them.

Their Wedding at Bicentennial Barn

Caitlyn and Cody will be getting married on December 5th, 2026 at Bicentennial Barn, and if their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day is going to be absolutely beautiful.
