Some love stories begin with a childhood friendship, some with a chance encounter, and some begin with a super like on Tinder. 💓
For Dustin and Jennifer, that one little swipe turned into something much bigger — a love story that brought them together, brought Dustin from Louisville, Ohio to Pittsburgh, and eventually had them dreaming about making their way back toward his hometown.
On September 12, 2026, they celebrated three years together with an intimate and incredibly beautiful wedding at Hyeholde, tucked away in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.
And after photographing another Hyeholde wedding a couple years ago, I was especially excited to return to this beautiful venue for their day.
A Hyeholde Wedding Full of Meaning
Jennifer told me that she absolutely loved the photos from the Hyeholde wedding I photographed the previous September. So when she reached out about photographing her own wedding there, it felt extra special.
Hyeholde has such a distinct atmosphere — tucked into the trees, surrounded by stone, greenery, and beautiful architectural details. It creates a setting that feels both romantic and timeless, making it one of those places where you hardly have to do anything to make the photographs feel beautiful.
For Dustin and Jennifer, every part of the day was thoughtfully planned around the moments that mattered most to them.
The Getting Ready Moments
We began with Jennifer's details before she got dressed, taking advantage of the gorgeous natural light inside Hyeholde.
One of my favorite moments from the afternoon was Jennifer's first look with her dad. There is something so special about photographing a bride with her parents before the ceremony — those quiet moments tend to become some of the images families treasure most.
Jennifer and Dustin also chose to have a hand-holding first touch before the ceremony. They couldn't see each other, but they were able to be close, hold hands, and take in the moment together before walking down the aisle.
It was such a sweet way to slow down and actually experience the anticipation of the day.
A Ceremony at Hyeholde
Their ceremony took place at Hyeholde's beautiful outdoor ceremony space, surrounded by their closest friends and family.
And then came one of the moments Jennifer specifically hoped we'd capture — the dip at the end of the aisle.
Spoiler: we got it. 😉
There is something so fun about giving couples a few photographs throughout the day that feel completely them. Not every image needs to be perfectly posed. Sometimes it's the big, joyful, slightly chaotic moments that tell the best story.
Portraits Around the Hyeholde Grounds
After family portraits, we took time for Jennifer and Dustin's newlywed portraits around the property.
The stone architecture and castle-like details of Hyeholde gave us so many beautiful backdrops, while the surrounding greenery added that soft, romantic feeling to their gallery.
We focused on a mix of classic portraits and more editorial, movement-filled photographs — twirling, walking, embracing, laughing, and letting the two of them simply be together.
One photograph Jennifer really wanted was a twirling image photographed from inside the restaurant looking outward through the windows. She loved the idea of incorporating Hyeholde itself into the photograph rather than simply photographing the building as a backdrop.
And those are exactly the kinds of little details I love about working with couples who have a vision for their wedding photographs.
A Wedding Full of Personal Details
From the bouquet wrap featuring a piece of her mom's dress and a meaningful charm to the cookie table and all of the carefully chosen details throughout the reception, their wedding day was filled with little pieces of their story.
Hyeholde's beautiful setting did so much of the visual storytelling, while the personal details made the day uniquely theirs.
Their reception included heartfelt speeches, a first dance, parent dances, cake, and plenty of time on the dance floor.
And because hours can go by very quickly on a wedding day, we made sure to prioritize the moments that mattered most to them.
Dustin & Jennifer
From a super like on Tinder to moving cities for each other, three years together, and a beautiful wedding at Hyeholde — Dustin and Jennifer's story is such a sweet reminder that sometimes the most unexpected beginnings lead to the most meaningful chapters.
Congratulations, Dustin & Jennifer. 🤍
It was such an honor to document your wedding day and return to Hyeholde for another beautiful celebration.
