From Volleyball Partners to Forever

Katie and Tyler's story started through something they both love: volleyball.

They met through coaching and playing volleyball, becoming best friends and playing partners before eventually realizing they were meant to be something more.

Three years later, they were planning their wedding.

Their relationship is filled with the kinds of things that make life fun — traveling, hiking, pickleball, volleyball, and simply enjoying life together. They're both laid back, adventurous, and clearly the kind of couple who genuinely enjoys being around each other.

And their proposal was just as personal.

Tyler proposed in Florida during one of their volleyball tournaments, getting some of the younger players involved by having them hold signs for the big surprise.

It couldn't have been more fitting for the two of them.

First Looks With Dad & Grandpa

One of the sweetest parts of Katie's afternoon was seeing her dad and grandpa before the ceremony. All of us were in needing tissues after Katie asked if her Grandpa would walk her down the aisle too. It was just the sweetest moment as he hugged her tight and said absolutely.

Katie and Tyler's wedding day was a beautiful reflection of who they are — laid back, joyful, adventurous, and surrounded by people they love.

From meeting through volleyball, to a Florida proposal surrounded by their younger volleyball friends, to finding their way to Birdseye Barn after an unexpected change in photographers, their story has been full of unexpected turns that somehow led them exactly where they were supposed to be.

I'm so thankful I got to step into their story and document this chapter for them.
