LeAnna & Austin’s Summer Wedding at Pine Acres Event Center

There’s something so special about a summer wedding where everything happens in one beautiful place. For LeAnna and Austin’s July wedding, Pine Acres Event Center in LaRue, Ohio was the perfect host for every part of their day from getting ready and first looks with family to an outdoor ceremony, sunset portraits, dinner, dancing, and a sparkler-filled ending. Even with all the rain we had they were able to have their outdoor ceremony and all their portraits outside!

A Summer Wedding at Pine Acres Event Center

LeAnna and Austin chose Pine Acres Event Center as the backdrop for their entire wedding day. Keeping both the ceremony and reception at one location allowed the day to flow naturally from one part of the celebration to the next.

The day began with LeAnna getting ready surrounded by her bridesmaids. Before the ceremony, she shared special first looks with her bridesmaids and her dad, Larry. Those quieter moments before the ceremony gave us time to document the anticipation and excitement before the celebration officially began.

Austin and his groomsmen prepared separately before joining us for portraits ahead of the ceremony.

An Outdoor Ohio Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony began at 4:30 PM at Pine Acres Event Center, with LeAnna walking down the aisle with her dad.

With the summer landscape surrounding the ceremony, the setting gave the couple a beautiful Ohio countryside backdrop as they exchanged vows and officially became husband and wife.

After the ceremony, we moved into family portraits and wedding party photos while guests enjoyed cocktail hour.

Wedding Party Portraits Full of Personality

After the formal family photos, we photographed LeAnna and Austin with their wedding party. We mixed traditional portraits with movement and personality.

That combination is one of our favorite ways to approach wedding portraits. You get the timeless photographs that will always belong in an album, along with images that feel like the people who were actually there.

Golden-Hour Portraits

One of the highlights of LeAnna and Austin's day was stepping away for sunset portraits.

As the evening light softened, we photographed the two of them simply enjoying a few quiet moments together away from the reception.

A Reception Filled With Celebration

The reception began with introductions followed by LeAnna and Austin's first dance and cake cutting. Guests then enjoyed dinner before speeches and parent dances kicked off the evening's celebrations.

After that, the dance floor opened up from LeAnna and her dad doing an upbeat dance off as a huge surprise to everyone and the celebration continued into the evening.

Ending the Night With a Sparkler Exit

The night ended with a classic sparkler exit, giving us one final opportunity to capture the energy and excitement of the celebration.

From getting ready in the afternoon to the final sparkler send-off, LeAnna and Austin's wedding day was filled with the kind of moments that make a wedding gallery feel like more than a collection of photographs.

It tells the story of the entire day.
